Title: Like Drowning

Summary: In 2008, Kate and Angel run into each other in Chicago while tracking the same demon.
Warnings: Graphic het sex.
Author's Notes: This is the first story written in the Chicago!verse, although it comes chronologically after "High." Since this one was written first, you don't need to have read "High" to understand what's going on.

Rating: PG to PG13
Pairing: Gen, implications of Spangel, but no actual proof.
Summary: A vision leads Spike and Angel down into the Chicago sewers to rescue a young English man called Jacob.
Warnings: Language, violence, implied slash, some disturbing spider imagery.
Author's Notes: This story is based on these three prompts from frimfram: Spike saving Angel, a ghost train, and a reference to St. Petersburg. Special thanks to shapinglight for help with my English English and to makd for encouraging me to continue the Chicago!verse I started in "Like Drowning." This story was written after "Like Drowning" but, since it comes chronologically before it, you don't need to have read "Like Drowning" to understand or enjoy it.

thanks! i feel a little silly doing my own cover art, but at least i always know what i have in mind when i design something. :) google image search is my best friend. i was going to stick kate's face on a different body, but when i found that picture i just knew i had to use it.
