Yes, I'm indexing my report. I know that my con reports get super long, and it's really tedious to read the whole thing if you're not interested in all of the fandoms that I am, so I'm just going to make a quick list about what each post has in it so you can decide what parts you want to read, if any. And I do these ridiculously long reports primarily for my own benefit because I like to go back and read them and reminisce, so this index is as much for my information as for anyone else's. :)

Of course, the best way to experience this is to read straight through (each post has a link to the next one) and just skim over the parts you're not interested in. But of course I would say that since I wrote it.

I tried to write about all of it in an interesting way, so I do hope you'll check some of it out. But please be aware: ALL four of the posts are extremely picture-heavy (and some have embedded videos and links) so if you're on dial-up (is anyone still on dial-up?) you may have significant loadification issues!

Your story of giving Misha his doll made me tear up and melt! He is such a warm-hearted guy - makes you feel like you're the most special in the world!

thanks man! i'm glad you dug the story. misha was very nice to me, but i have to admit, i find his personality intimidating sometimes. he can get pretty sarcastic pretty quickly, so while i was talking to him i was terrified that at any moment he would start making fun of me! but he didn't (thank goodness) and i did feel great about meeting him. i'm so proud he liked the doll. :D

i see from your icon that you also got a pic with misha. nice! he looks very excited to be touching you, haha.

Hey no probs :) Always happy to read about people's experiences with the great Misha! He can be intimidating, yes, but once you get past the nerves, he's the biggest sweetheart ever! So charming and polite, and gives you his complete attention :D

That was one really awesome Dragoncon report. It has brought back so many memories and it's only been a month ago.

BTW i think i saw you on Monday with the SGU cast in the autograph room. I was chatting with David blue about being on Ugly Betty.

PS Your dolls are fabulous. do you make them yourself and do you take orders. I would love to get one.

thanks, i'm glad you liked my report! i actually didn't even know david had been on ugly betty until he mentioned it to me on monday, so i had to look up some of his scenes on youtube. what a great character. i always have tremendous respect for straight guys who play gay guys on tv.

i do make my dolls, and i do take orders! they are $35 plus shipping, and i will make one that looks like any character you want in any fandom, UNLESS i'm intending to give the same doll to the person it looks like. (for instance, i'm not going to make any more castiels because i gave one to misha and want him to have the only one. and i also still want to give joe flanigan the doll i made of him.)

Thanks for sharing this! Since I volunteer at the con, I rarely get to see anything outside of the Sheraton, and I love hearing about what is going on around the rest of the con. I keep meaning to get to the Walk of Fame in my *insert laugh* free time, and maybe next year I will actually do so.

you're welcome! and thanks for the feedback. i know i tend to complain a lot about the volunteers, but i do want to say that we interact with at least as many pleasant volunteers as unpleasant ones. :) i do hope you manage to get to the walk of fame next year. i've thought about volunteering at d*c myself, but i never have because i know i would miss things!

Girlpire...I'm slowly and meticulously reading through ALL of your write-up on Dragon Con 2011! And I just wanna say THANKS for taking the time to write it! I live in South Africa and have pretty much ZERO chance of ever going to a convention....any convention :( So I am really really enjoying your vibrant, exciting, minute-by-minute doccy about this one. Am attending the con vicariously through you! Gotta read it in chunks though...real life keeps interfering. Will post a comment again when I'm done! :)

Just wanted to say thank you for this report! (Hopped over here from the dragoncon community :) ) I started writing up my own, and got up to Saturday.....that's it. I write too dang much and it's not even funny like your stuff :)

And thank you again, cause work is INSANELY SLOW right now and I just spent most of the day reading your awesome observations and musings. It brought me back :) Oh! And I think you were just a few rooms away from me in the Hyatt, cause your view out the window looks exactly the same as ours! YEAH 20th FLOOR!!! *high five*
