Disclaimer: This story and its characters are based on the Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer series, with which I am not affiliated in any way.
Distribution: AO3 only.
Warnings: Angst/Grief, Suicidal thoughts, Knock-knock jokes, Consequences of Magic, Demon that looks uncannily like a popular franchise mascot, Slight Spike whumping but no more than he deserves
Summary: After Buffy's death, Angel struggles to work through his grief. The only person he finds he can really talk to about Buffy isn't technically a person at all... but she's got a very familiar face.
This fic slots into canon during the summer immediately following The Gift and tells the story of the time Angel spends in Sunnydale before heading to Sri Lanka, and the consequences of Willow's first attempt to fill the gap Buffy left behind.
